Mary Walter
My husband Wayne arrived at Bethany Rehabilitation following a previous fall in February. He came to re-cooperate after two surgeries that required him to remain bed ridden and not to put any weight on his amputation. The first impression we had of Bethany Rehabilitation and Healthcare was how friendly and caring the entire staff were. We felt welcomed and warmth from the community. Wayne had nurses who took excellent care of him, a clean facility, and a successful therapy. When he left we missed the people here because we were treated fairly and with compassion. A few months after leaving Wayne had a stroke and when asked where he wanted to go to recover, right away he said Bethany Healthcare. It was the place where he felt at home and among many great friends.

I love the residents. Smiles make me happy and that is why I try to find one on each person’s face. The community has many activities to keep busy all day. There is entertainment every Friday. Exercise is offered at least once a day. You can play board games and cards most any time. There are church services twice a week. We watch a movie and eat popcorn once a week. In the summer we have a wonderful courtyard with a shelter house in the center to use. It’s a great place for outdoor games, sitting, meditating by the waterfall fountain, or just rocking in a chair to your own music. The staff is extremely kind and eager to help. Bethany is my home of choice.
